One thing I can say that I have done allot here is worship. Not only have I participated in the action of worshiping I have learned allot about what worship actually means. Worshiping is simply giving praise to the God that paid the price for you even when you didn’t deserve it.
There was actually a time when God showed me something while worshiping;
I was standing and singing during a worship session one morning and I began to think to myself of how I needed to start ever morning with worshiping. From there I thought to myself,
“What if I could not listen to worship songs because I had no phone?”. From there I said,
“Okay well, I have a guitar so I could worship that way”.
“Well, what if I didn’t have a guitar?”
“I would still have my voice, so I could just sing”
“What if I lost my voice and couldn’t sing?”
“I could still dance”
“What if I had not arms or legs and could no longer dance?”
“I could still sing in my head”.
At that point I heard God say,
“Exactly!” “Now you get it!”.
I was then reminded of a woman we had met and prayed for during ATL in Antigua only a week or so before. This lady had no arms or legs but was still super happy because she still had God and could still worship him.
Worship is not only singing or playing guitar or some other instrument, it is simply giving praise to the God that paid the price for us even when we didn’t deserve it.
Love this. Worship is powerful and it is what we were created for. We can make everything we do into an act of worship. Thank you for writing this, it is powerful stuff.
