“I don’t know what you are talking about.”

“Missionaries go overseas.”

“They build houses and work at orphanages.”

Yes. That’s not wrong. Just incomplete.

My friend, she works at Home Depot. She made a friend named John.

She also made another friend named Mason.

And also probably a few other friends.

Overtime she began to build relationships with them.

She began to tell them about what God did in her life.

She began to love them not because of what they did or didn’t do.

One of the things we do at the discipleship school me and my friend Christy are a part of is house church every friday.

Groups of us volunteer each week to lead it and plan it.

So me, Christy and Noelle had the mantle.

We planned house church at a park and decided to invite people that we worked with.

Many of the friends she had made from Home Depot were there.

They got to know the rest of us and sang worship songs and hung out.

Then she started inviting them to church.

One of her coworkers even paid for our meals after church.

Being a missionary can look like going overseas and building houses.

But it can also look like working where you work and loving the people you work with, getting to know them, and inviting them to church or to lunch.
