Fundraising. Such a word strikes fear into the hearts of many. But for those who have learned to tame the beast it can be quite worth it (although still painful).
Well I can tell you for certain I am yet to tame this dinosaur. My experience with my pet dinosaur (his name will be fundraising) has been an interesting one. At first I kind of stared him down with the look of “I know how to tame you. I am 18 and know everything”. To be honest for the first little bit I actually thought I had him down. That is until I actually tried to ride him. Wow was I blown away! Who knew fundraising could be such a beast to tame! As I began to approach him more something else happened.
My trainer, God, decided I was done with the precautions I was taking and told me to try without! What! Was he mad!? Well maybe, but I knew to take his word on it as I was the student and he was the trainer (along with being the one who invented the method of taming dinosaurs in the first place. I know, I was learning from the best here).
From that point on I have been endlessly tackling my pet dinosaur fundraising head on. It hurts (allot), and I can say that he has thrown me onto the grown and trampled me a few times. From these experiences I can definitely say that I am learning allot of random things I never thought I would need to know. (Who knew dinosaurs had a thing for dog treats?). In the end the biggest thing I learned was to trust my trainer (God) even when I had no idea what I was doing. After all he invented the very first method of taming dinosaurs.
I am definitely looking forward to taming my pet dinosaur fundraising although I know I will take a few more bruises to get there.
one of my favorite titles of all time lol! Thanks for sharing my man. Totally know and believe that God’s got your dinosaur under control and is going to having you riding that thing like a pro!
You crack me up dude!! I like the catchy headliner, I’ve never heard of it called a pet dinosaur, hahaha. I’ll pray a leash for you and a hitching post to tie it to and will leave the watering, feeding and cleanup to you and God. Glad we got a little time to talk during TC and getting to know you.
