Do you remember that time when you gave some random guy named Grant money to go on a 9 month mission trip? Maybe you actually knew who I was, but either way you gave me money for this trip I was going to go on.
Have you ever wondered what happened to that money?
Do you ever lay in bed at night and ask yourself “What in the world did I do? I really wish I spent that money on a pizza right now”.
Well as much as that pizza seems tempting (or maybe it’s a donut, whatever you crave at night), I want you to know that your money actually came to great use. You might not have even known it but God was using you to build his kingdom by donating to my trip. Whatever it was that told you to donate came from God.
Now what exactly did this money help achieve for the kingdom?
By your support and all the vast number a supporters who donated to all the crazy individuals on this trip you have;
Spread the gospel to many areas in Guatemala including, Chimaltenango, Parramos, Antigua, Cajajuaten, Panimaquin, and many more.
People in those places where prayed over, healed of pains, listened to for the first time in a while, and even enjoyed playing soccer or basketball while having conversations about the God that saves them.
Many local businesses were given regular customers that even where allowed to pray over them as their relatives struggled and went to the hospital.
Kids were taught English from teachers that had correct pronunciation, good accents, and from teachers that loved them well.
Demons in Ethiopia were cast out of a woman and now the lady attends church regularly as the first Christian in her whole village.
Orphan kids in Ethiopia were taught English, Spanish, and were loved on by all the members of our group.
Reforestation projects were given extra workers to plant a record breaking number of trees in order to restore the land after overfarming.
Grass was cut in order to allow housemoms to spend more time loving orphan children.
People within our group were brought out of hard addictions and have grown in vulnerability and accountability.
Members of our group have dreamed of so many crazy ideas to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth.
Parents, friends, and relatives from back home have accepted Christ and became stronger Christians after seeing the experiences that we have gone through.
And it’s only halfway through
So now you know that even though that pizza or donut would have been cool in the moment, you put your money to something that will be cool for eternity. Also instead of one cool thing it was more like a thousand+ cool things.
